    The practice via ferrata is directly in the village piburg. The short ferrata leads over a small scarp and in the middle part is a small rope bridge. The via ferrata is perfect for people  which have less contact with via ferrata.

    Well insured with steel cable and foot clamps.

    short passage B/C, usually A and B. 

    Entry to the via ferrata:

    You walk from the car park to the fire station. From there you see already the via ferrata. 

    Descent the via ferrate:

    The via ferrata is in the shade in the forest - after rain in spring and autumn the via ferrata is wet. 

    Inside tip: the Piburger Lake is a must have, if you are in Piburg.

    The Austrian Alpine Club has published 10 recommendations for climbing on via ferratas in order to increase safety:

     

    1. Plan carefully
    2. Destination should correspond to personal abilities
    3. Use complete set of professional climbing equipment
    4. Don’t access the route in the event of a thunderstorm
    5. Check wire rope and anchors accurately and critically
    6. Partner check at the access point
    7. Maintain sufficient distance
    8. Talk clearly when overtaking someone
    9. Watch out for falling rocks
    10. Respect nature and environment
