Be it on water, land or in the air, Ötztal is one big adventure playground. When river rafting and canyoning you dive into rapids and narrow ravines, you fight your way up step by step in the climbing gardens, high rope courses and on via ferratas. (Tandem) paragliding flights, geocaching tours and the AREA 47, Austria's largest outdoor adventure park, promise even more thrills and adrenalin rushes.

The list of leisure activities and excursion sites is almost as long as Ötztal itself: Adventure playgrounds await families and children in the mountains and on the valley floor, such as the WIDIVERSUM in Hochoetz. Culture and nature lovers can explore fabulous excursion sites between the valley entrance and the glacier areas, while the bathing lakes and swimming pools guarantee cooling moments on hot summer days.

Ötztal moves you - and it is to be understood quite literally. As Tirol’s longest side valley, we sometimes demand your physical exertion, but in return we provide fabulous views and moments that you will never forget. And we are absolutely not stingy with superlatives: we are home to North Tirol's highest mountain – Wildspitze peak at 3,768 meters.
