From the village center you follow the signposted trail to Gurgler river where you take the climbing route through steep grass slopes, crossing several small glacier brooks. At approx. 2300 m altitude you reach quaint Küppelealm. Heading towards the upper valley, you can make out Ramolhaus towering on a rocky ridge.
Continue on the trail, below Ramolhaus, until you get to the newly installed path to the Piccard suspension Bridge. Cross the bridge and follow Langtal towards Langtalereck hut. From there descent back to Obergurgl.
Author’s recommendation
You can also hike up to the Ramolhaus and descend from there to the Piccards suspension bridge ( + 320 Hm & 1,5 - 2 hours hiking time).

The car drive to the Ötztal valley. Situated in Tirol, the Ötztal valley set off in southerly direction and is the longest side valley in the Eastern Alps. The journey with the car leads you through the Inntal valley to the entrance of the valley and further on through the valley. Among the toll motorways you can also use the countryroads.
