A trail at marathon distance. View of countless glaciers - technically very demanding. The start is at just under 2,000m above sea level in Obergurgl. After two kilometers to warm up, it's straight to the point - an ascent of 700hm awaits the participants. Arriving at the Soomsee, a fantastic panoramic view amidst the Ötztal and Stubai Alps awaits the trail runners. At about 2,500m above sea level, the course runs along a beautiful trail back down into the valley to the first refreshment station (Küppelehütte) before heading steeply uphill to the highest point of the race, the Ramolhaus at over 3,000m. There taken the intermediate time, the participants run a technically very demanding downhill to the Piccard bridge, where a breathtaking panorama of the Ötztal glacier world opens. Continuing over the Schwärzenkamm to the Langtalereckhütte, the runners tackle the next kilometers of the race on the forest path to the Schönwieshütte. After the next refreshment station, the runners head into the beautiful Rotmoostal valley, up to the Hohe Mut Alm. Arriving at 2,670m, the runners enjoy the panorama before a downhill leads through the Gaisberg valley towards Festkogl. Here it is once again to collect all the grains, before it goes over the Verwall and Königstal, to the last downhill trail through a beautiful pine forest towards Obergurgl. The final 2 km the participants enjoy the cheers of the spectators until the finish.
