Ötztal is connected to Laura Stigger almost by birth. Laura comes from Haiming, a beautiful village at the entrance to Ötztal. Haiming is famous for two things: its fruit orchards thriving wonderfully in the mild climate and its bicycle-crazy residents.
Laura is our golden girl: as a junior she was five-time European champion, double world champion in XC MTB and world champion at the road bicycle world championship. But the girl has become a woman. In her U23 World Cup debut, she was promptly back on the top podium. In the race news you can find out where she is currently preparing for the next race and which events are coming up soon.
Laura has two perfect training areas in Ötztal: Ötztaler Höhe Trail Center is right on her doorstep and this is also where the popular Ötztal MTB Festival takes place every year, with professionals and amateurs alike. Laura is an honorary citizen of BIKE REPUBLIC SÖLDEN and even a testimonial of the toughest route: the OLM VOLLE LINE is named after Laura's motto: always at full throttle.
