Bicycle excursions in Ötztal

Lake Piburger See (Oetz):

Embedded in the picture-book Alpine scenery, it is not only one of Tirol's warmest swimming lakes but definitely also one of the most beautiful water areas. The idyllic hiking trail right on the shore leads to the lakeside beach and rowing boat rental station.

Habicher See (Oetz/Habichen):

Lake Habicher See at the village end of Habichen nestle idyllically on the edge of the forest, and therefore in the immediate vicinity of the Cycle Trail. A 12-meter-long footbridge and a sand bank invite you to wind down on the shore.

Engelswand (Tumpen):

In the wide open valley basin around Tumpen you should definitely enjoy a stop at Engelswand rock wall. This reddish granite wall features a variety of climbing routes for different levels of ability. So why don't you sit on the meadow and watch the climbers on the mighty wall.

Stuibenfall (Umhausen):

Tirol's biggest waterfall is a truly amazing nature spectacle - and can be experienced up close. Either you climb it on 700 steps leading straight along the waterfall or via the family-friendly via ferrata.

Fairytale Forest (Umhausen):

The cycle trail section near Köfels has an extraordinarily idyllic fairytale forest: Smooth and soft forest floor takes you along the babbling mountain brook - a perfect place to take a well-deserved rest. And you have enough time to admire the small chapel of Maria Schnee or the old farmhouses around Umhausen, heavily decorated with geranium.

Längenfeld Places of Strength:

Already for centuries, Längenfeld has been regarded as a strong source of energy by the locals. You can recharge your batteries at ten special Places of Strength where you switch off your phone and forget time.

Lehn Waterfall (Längenfeld):

The Lehn Waterfall near Längenfeld is a primeval place of nature: the mountain water thunders down some 80 meters. It's also worth a stop as a hiking trail path takes you even closer to the roaring masses of Alpine water.

Apple Mile (Haiming):

The mild and sunny climate at the entrance to Ötztal makes Haiming one of western Austria's fruit growing centers. Along the Apple Mile children will learn exciting facts about apples at interactive play stations.

Widiversum Hochoetz:

Be it a Milk Jug Xylophone or a Giant Pinball Machine, an Enchanted Ravine or a Splish-Splash Pond at 2020 meters altitude: it's up to young adventurers to fulfill a mission at 17 exciting activity stations.

Birds of Prey Park (Umhausen):

Right next to the Ötzi Village you can experience the flying skills of beautiful vultures, eagles, owls, falcons and many other birds of prey up close at the unrivaled Birds of Prey Park. Visitors sometimes also have to duck their heads at the daily flight shows!

Aqua Dome (Längenfeld):

A wellness dream comes true for young and old: The thermal spa resort is renowned beyond the borders for its 50,000 m² large well-being scenery, its pools floating high up in the air, the huge children's area - and the superb views of the Ötztal mountain world.

Area 47 (Ötztal-Bahnhof):

Austria's largest outdoor theme park is all about action, adventure and adrenalin: no matter if you try canyoning through deep gorges, climbing in lofty heights or wakeboarding in the huge water park.

Bike Republic Sölden:

Sölden has not just a bike park, Sölden has its own Bike Republic where anyone, who enjoys biking, will find a home - be it freeriders or beginners who experience their first flow on the smooth lines.

Tower Museum (Oetz):

The Tower Museum is located right in the center of Oetz. Ötztal art lover Hans Jäger has collected over 5000 objects here. There is a multitude of different views of Ötztal to discover - an exciting addition to all the insights and outlooks that you have gained while following the cycle trail.

Ötzi-Dorf (Umhausen):

The Ötzi Village gives a deep insight into everyday life of the probably most famous man of the Stone Age. The archaeological open-air park shows how people lived, hunted and worked in the Neolithic Age.

Nature Park House & "Altes Badle" (Längenfeld):

The Nature Park House - covering almost 300 m² - is all about Ötztal's natural variety. You can get closer to the valley's flora and fauna via listening stations and touchscreens. In the immediate vicinity you will also find "Altes Badle", a sulfur spring that was used as early as in the 16th century.
 

Ötztal Museums (Längenfeld):

In Lehn, a peaceful hamlet of Längenfeld, you pass the Ötztal Museum Area. Here you will find the memory archives, a carefully renovated building from the 15th century, as well as the local heritage & outdoor museum: The historic farming culture in Ötztal is strikingly documented in the courtyard and farmhouse ensemble.
 

Distillery of Fine Spirits (Sautens):

In Sautens the schnaps distilling tradition has been passed on already for entire generations. It's hardly surprising as the high-quality raw materials for tasty liqueurs and spirits can be found right on the doorstep.
